Pilot episode

"It is not who is right, but what is right, that is of importance."

-Thomas Henry Huxley

Hello! So I now have a blog. This post, made on the thirtieth of August in 12022 of the Holocene calendar, exists for the following purposes:

-Because yes (for fun)

-Because I want to write about different ecosystems in different time periods

-Because biodiversity is worth learning about

-Because even though I'm an artist, animator, and voice actor, writing's the thing I'm best at doing quickly, and I might make this into a podcast if I find a club of people (but it'll just be in writing for now)

-Because I wanted to open a blog

So that summarises my purpose.

Also, a bit about me:

I have an urvogel as an OC. Being my canonical animal form, they use the same pronouns I do, she/they, and are the narrator/host of this blog podcast. The title is almost self-explanatory; in each episode/post, she asks one animal from the ecosystem about what life is like there. For this trailer, I will be talking to a purple sunbird.

Hello! Yes, that is correct. I am Mr Bloomsip. Now, what can I say about where I live? Yes. Flowers. Pinks and reds are my favourite types, like the hibiscus you gave me.

Well, Mr Bloomsip, tell the audience why you're not really purple.

What? Not really purple? Look at my wings! They are literally edged in iridescent purple!

...Sir, this is a podcast.

This is my eclipse plumage! It's not the breeding season, so a female-like plumage ECLIPSES my "purple" plumage! My tail's iridescent purple as well! "Not really purple"? Wrong.

Calm down. And you like hiding near the canopies of trees, right?

Yes.

Well, this sums up our blog trailer/pilot episode, so bye for now!
